As of September 26th, 2019, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has documented a total of 805 cases of vaping related lung injury reported from 46 states and 1 U.S. territory. Three major thicken agent makers, which were marketed as cheaper and “safer” alternatives to traditional cutting agents, have been subpoenaed by the New York State Department of Health after all three products were found to be made up of almost pure vitamin E acetate.
