420 ACTS OF KINDNESS

420 Acts of Kindness is Giving Tree Dispensary’s way of making 420 a movement, not just a moment. We’re committing to completing 420 acts of kindness between March 11 and April 20,2025 — from small gestures to larger company-wide efforts. As a locally owned small business, giving back isn’t just one of our core values, it’s in our DNA, and we invite you to join in spreading kindness. Because kindness is contagious — and that’s something worth celebrating!

We’re almost there! Your Act of Kindness could be the one that gets us to our 420 goal!

See how our team, their families and guests are committed to kindness

  • Denina is a Pharmacy Technician and volunteered at a mobile pharmacy to help dispense medications to low-income families at NPHX Church. Denina has done this twice in March.
  • Cultivation tech Kristi recently retired from Giving Tree. As a parting gift, Kristi gave Jenner, who loves to bake for our team, some of her mom’s recipes for her favorite foods before leaving us. This is special as Kristi’s parents are no longer with us, and family recipes are beloved.
  • Security & Facilities Supervisor Jayden and his wife feed their neighborhood cats and kittens.
  • Inventory lead Jordan brought in cake his wife made from scratch from his family’s two-month celebration of their new baby! It was restaurant quality delicious.
  • Cultivation Manager Bri went on a kindness whirlwind. She donated $100 Gather and Grow. Gather and Grow is an Arizona organization focused on creating spaces for the community to learn about self-sustainability and organic practices. She also spread love to two lucky strangers when she picked up their tab for the car behind her in the Starbucks drive thru — two days in a row! And, as the amazing daughter she is, stepped in to make her mom’s week a little brighter. Her mom was having a hard and frustrating work week, so Bri treated her to a rage room date. Bri’s mom works in an office, so Bri made sure to add in a computer monitor, printer, and office phone to break.
  • Budtender Billy sprinkles in an act of kindness whenever he can. He helped a friend move his drum set to another location and took another friend out after therapy to cheer him up. Billy even helped a new student driver who was struggling to merge into traffic.
  • Receptionist Brett came to the (roadside) rescue when he jump-started a car for someone stranded in a parking lot and then helped someone else with their overheating car.
  • HR manager Lollie knows the value of kindness in ways big and small. Though she was first in line at her granddaughter’s play, when they opened the doors for the audience to enter, Lollie I held it open and let everyone else in first. Then, she treated her husband’s nurse to a Starbuck’s gift card to thank her for doing such a great job!
  • Stef, Jenner, Ashley, Bri, Carmen and Lollie volunteered at The 3000 Club’s Market on the Move on Friday, April 4. They packaged shallots, sorted through tomatoes and strawberries, shucked corn, swept, broke down boxes and helped visitors return carts from the parking lot. In total, they contributed 17 hours of time to helping
  • Ashley donates $80 to Halo Animal Shelter AND bought the person behind me in line coffee!
  • Marketing Coordinator Hayden hosted and made a dinner for his friends to bring them all together. Then, when he noticed a stranger who looked like they’d had a tough day, he gave them an uplifting compliment.
  • Vanessa proudly supported a talented local rap artist during tough economic times, purchasing his CD for well above the asking price. Vanessa doesn’t even own CD player to enjoy his music but felt compelled to contribute to his journey with his daughter by his side.
  • Ashley donated four hours to help a family clean out a home after the loss of a loved one and helped a mom at Target with kids get her bags into her car.
  • Jenner had a busy day on March 31, when he helped clean up his community’s greenbelt and offered a Q&A session on Instagram for Trans Day of Visibility to help foster discussion for those who wish to expand their understanding.
  • Steven’s neighbor had his hands amputated a year ago, so Steven helped him do yard work once a month.
  • Bri donated $100 to Lunch Debt Relief Fundraiser. The money raised goes toward paying off debt accrued for school lunches in our community.
  • Vanessa hosted a cozy Coffee & Craft gathering at a local park. Those who gathered enjoyed delicious warm drinks and made time for some meaningful conversations about seasonal reflections and personal growth.
  • Lilach’s oldest son Shai volunteered five and a half hours of his time at the Colton Foundation.
  • While on vacation, Hayden invited a friend out and treated them to drinks. It was a great way to reconnect.
  • Kindness can be an act of opportunity. Carmen came across a man whose car had broken down at 27th Ave and Northern and helped him push the car to safety.
  • Hayden recently traveled by train while on vacation and frequently gave up his seat to strangers.
  • Vanessa was shopping at WinCo and offered a piece of gum to the person behind her in line after noticing they were eyeing the pack as she’d just opened it.
  • Jenner treated his team to a Paris Baguette. Yum!
  • Ashley was on a roll this month! Not only did she volunteer 8 hours of her time to provide reading and math tutoring to elementary students, but she also paid for gas for a stranded motorist.
  • Lilach’s husband and son volunteered to assemble 300 backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need and created Passover cards for older adults, including Holocaust survivors. The family also bought and donated $50 worth of items from the Jewish Family and Children’s Services needs list.
  • A compliment can make a person’s day! Vanessa recently complimented her gas station cashier on her earrings and told her they had great energy.
  • Jenner’s busy week of good deeds shows how acts of kindness — large and small (and sometimes furry) — can make all the difference. Jenner makes kindness a habit. He brings in his neighbor’s trash and recycling cans each week and regularly feeds his neighborhood’s stray cats. As Jenner said, ‘The HOA hates me, but Jesus loves me.’ But Jenner isn’t just feeding cats, he also likes to buy unique snacks to share with his colleagues in his building. To cap off the week, Jenner, ever the pet lover, rescued a dog from Mexico and now has a new fur-baby at home.
  • Lilach attended a charity event for Diaper Bank of Arizona and donated $550 to their cause. She also contributed $400 to the Arizona Military Family Relief Fund.
  • Steven volunteered at Cihuapactli Collective teaching kids how to plant and grow their own food.
  • Kindness is always a win-win! In this case, after a little spring-cleaning Steven, Jenner and Carmen donated items to people in need. Carmen donated a couch to Goodwill and clothing to a group of homeless women, while Jenner packed up clothes to donate to a charity benefiting children in need. Steven brought gently used children’s toys and clothing to Goodwill.
  • Carmen treated an unsheltered neighbor to lunch and a joint to try to brighten her day.
  • Stef and her family raised $2,230 for the National Kidney Foundation by fundraising for and participating in the Phoenix Kidney Walk on Sunday, April 6. Stef’s son Max has polycystic kidney disease and will need a transplant in the future. • Billy truly cares for his neighborhood and regularly helps around the community. He recently helped to weed eat and clear out the area around the storm drain.
  • Carmen helped a stranger pay for their baby wipes and diapers.
  • Jenner donated to a fundraiser for an industry colleague who is battling cancer.
  • Vanessa hosted the March Full Moon Circle, providing a sacred and supportive space for members of the Arizona Witches community to connect, heal, and set intentions for the new season. Vanessa incorporated rituals, energy work, and intention-setting exercises, as well as eco-friendly manifestation crafts using apples, oranges, and eggs, allowing participants to physically plant their intentions in alignment with nature’s cycles.
  • Lilach and her family volunteered a combined 8 hours at Feed My Starving Children.
  • Carmen helped a stranger change a tire and showed her how to do it for the future.
  • Nick covered every pool game and drinks for a good friend. Nick shared that he understands people’s situations and wanted him to join in the fun. It’s very minimal. But small acts make big impacts. Nick’s gesture turned his friend’s day right around.
  • Lilach supported Team Max at the 2025 Kidney Walk benefitting the National Kidney Foundation with a whopping $180 donation!
  • Stef signed up to be an organ donor. See how you can save lives by signing up at organdonor.gov.
