Time to Focus? Try These 3 Strains to Lessen Those “Squirrel” Moments

Sometimes, study time can get tricky – especially when it comes to concentrating. But before you give up on your next study session, consider trying cannabis for concentration. With the right strain, you can aim for a calm, balanced effect that quiets your mental clutter and preps you to be productive. Finding the best strains for focus might take a little trial and error, especially since every person experiences certain strains or cannabis products slightly differently. Keep your preferences in mind, and use what you know about your cannabis experiences to help guide your search. Also, don’t forget to think about how terpenes can play into a strain’s effects: Limonene, terpineol, and pinene are all described as having positive effects on focus and concentration. Generally, Sativa’s (and Sativa-dominant hybrids) are going to be your best bet for cannabis strains for focus. Of course, that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible for an Indica to be useful for boosting your concentration. All it means is that, for most people, Sativa strains for better focus are a good fit. Here are three of our favorite strains to help you keep your head in the game:

  • Jack Herer: A go-to strain for consumers that want to boost their concentration, creativity, and energy, this strain has a fruity flavor, powerful cerebral effects, and high concentrations of limonene and pinene.
  • Harlequin: This balanced THC/CBD strain is described as an ideal balance of cerebral focus and gently calming physical effects and can be a good option if THC-heavy strains aren’t the right fit for you.
  • True OG: You might need to slow things down to ramp up focus, and this THC-dominant strain is touted as a great way to tune out stress and distractions.
